Race Locations & Weather

Most participants will park at and launch from Passaic River Rowing Association. PLEASE CARPOOL WHEN POSSIBLE. NO PARKING IS PERMITTED ON RIVERSIDE AVENUE. There will be adequate parking for trailers, buses, car-tops, and chuck-wagons (with tow vehicle ONLY) at Riverside County Park using the Wilson Avenue entrance. For athletes and spectators, parking will be available at Riverside County Park using the Jauncey Avenue entrance, with overflow parking available at the NJ Transit lot located at 422 New York Avenue, Lyndhurst.

DIRECTIONS

Passaic River Rowing Association P.O. Box 440, Lyndhurst, NJ, 07071-0440 (located in Riverside County Park in Lyndhurst, NJ. The nearest park entrance is beside 779 Riverside Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071, opposite the corner of Wilson Street: for GPS use this address).

Route 3 East: Immediately after the bridge over the Passaic River, take the Rutherford Avenue/Park Avenue Exit. Go down the ramp and move right as you come up again, to turn right on Park Avenue, at the Burger King (on your right). Follow Park Avenue until it intersects with Riverside Avenue (0.7 mi) at the traffic light. Continue on Riverside Avenue to the PRRA Boathouse (less than 1 mile).

Route 3 West: About 2 miles west of the Meadowlands Sports Complex, take the Ridge Road Exit toward Park Avenue. Merge onto Marginal Road. In about 0.5 mile turn left onto Park Avenue, crossing over Route 3. Follow Park Avenue until it intersects with Riverside Avenue (0.7 mi) at the traffic light. Continue on Riverside Avenue to the PRRA Boathouse (less than 1 mile).

Passaic River Rowing Association is located in Riverside County Park: Head south (left) on Riverside Avenue for the north entrance (for trailers, buses, and car-tops) on the right (779 Riverside Ave, Lyndhurst, NJ.) Cars and chuck-wagons will proceed about ¼ mile further south along Riverside Ave for the south entrance.

DIRECTIONS

NJ Turnpike to Exit 6

Follow Rt 95 South to Exit 22 I-676 W/US-30 W toward Central Philadelphia

Take the exit toward Ben Franklin Pkwy

Take Benjamin Franklin Pkwy and Ben Franklin Pkwy/Eakins Oval to

John B Kelly Dr/Kelly Dr

You will pass the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Rocky Statue

Once on Kelly Drive you will be routed up the hill for parking.

You will need to park, walk down the hill and walk along the river until you get to the tent. It will be a couple of miles so wear your walking shoes.

In the Past the Remote parking lots and shuttle service began some time in March. Shuttle bus drivers are instructed to stop for drop off/pick-up whenever requested – so be sure your parents know where your parent tent is located for your parents convenience. The lots in Fairmount Park can be reached by following the Kelly Drive detour.

Monitored parking will cost $20? per day. Shuttles are anticipated to run every 20-35 minutes (depending on traffic) from approximately 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Garden State Scholastic Championships is the National qualifiers of the SRAA regatta. The teams compete in 1,500-meter heats in using stake boats.

DIRECTIONS:

Take I-95 South, NJ Turnpike South

NJ Tpke South to NJ-73 North in Mount Laurel Township.

Take exit 4 from NJ Tpke South

Continue on NJ-73 N to your destination in Cherry Hill

PARKING

For States, this is a smaller crowd, there is a free parking lot that is located behide the tent sites. Also there is free public parking across the street from the tent sites.

For larger events there will be paid parking lost farther away in the local schools.

Chuck Wagon Driver Directions to Philadelphia Regattas

Take NJ Turnpike (95) south to Philadelphia to Exit #6 -

Take Route 76 West to Exit #22 (I-676 W/US-30 W toward Central Philadelphia_

Take Route 76 West - Follow signs to Valley Forge

Stay on Rout 676 West to Exit 340 A - Kelly Drive (note that Exit 340 B come BEFORE the 340 A Kelly Drive exit)

Please SLOW DOWN the exit has a sharp turn and the roadway is rough

Follow all of the signs to Kelly Drive and you will come the the entrance to the regatta

BE CAREFUL as you merge on to Kelly Drive from the left, many cars speed in right lane to which you are merging.

Chuck Wagons are only allowed to enter at certain times. If you are too early you will not be permitted to enter.

Show your parking pass for you truck and the Chuck Wagon to the attendant and then stay to the right and drive to our site (H26 Lamp Post; the site is to the left of the tree and to the right of the Chamande HS Rowing Tent, the is a Concrete Grilling stand in front of your site)

You will need to back the Chuck Wagon into a spot neat the campsite.You will directed to do this by the parking attendants, You will need to do as as quickly and efficiently as possible due to the traffic that is backing up behind you. You may also need to park your truck further done on Kelly Drive as directed by the Parking attendants.

All cars without parking passes will be directed the go to the left and up the hill. Even if you have a parking pass for your car , if you are there too early, you will be directed to park up the hill. However if you are there on time you will be permitted to park along Kelly Drive at the direction of the parking attendants.
