Dear Prospective ERG Classic Sponsor,

As many of you know, Don Bosco Prep High School (Ramsey, NJ) has been shaping the lives of young men since 1915. The tenants of a Don Bosco education are to develop the soul with a faith-based education, to develop the mind with rigorous academics, to develop one’s spirit of play through a variety of sports programs and to serve the community by requiring that each student provide a minimum of 100 service hours during their time at Don Bosco.

Our students are very involved in serving the local community. They and their families are active patrons of the many local businesses that surround the Don Bosco Campus.

Our Crew program began in 2003

when a handful of students and

one coach sought out to establish

an elite rowing team. Many of our

rowers have gone on to row for

some of the top collegiate crew

programs in the country.

Our crew program consists of a Fall

and Winter Club program followed

by the school sanctioned Spring

program. Each crew race or

“regatta” is held at distant rivers in Southern NJ and Philadelphia. Since we have no “home field” we must provide food and shelter for our rowers on the banks of these rivers for every race. When the regattas are multi-day events, then we must also provide hotel accommodations for our team.

For these reasons and many more, Crew tends to be an expensive sport, as such, it is only through fundraising efforts such as our annual ERG Classic Indoor Rowing competition (held on the Campus of Don Bosco), that we are able to meet the expenses of the team which are not covered by the school.

On January 17, 2026, our parent booster club, The Oarsmen Club, will host the 13th Annual Ironmen Erg Classic. The Ironmen Erg Classic is one of the earliest and largest indoor competitions for men and women rowers. It has become a much-anticipated event for the top rowers in the tri-state area.

In 2025, we attracted over 500 athletes from over 22 schools and clubs from both New Jersey and New York along with several hundred spectators attending the event.

This year we expect even more people to attend and participate at the ERG Classic. Given the sheer number of spectators and participants this will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase your business through the various sponsorship packages listed below. As Don Bosco Prep is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, your donation is tax deductible. The tax ID number is 47-4772938.
